Anyone can photograph a finished home. What actually helps you choose a builder is knowing what happened between the first site visit and handover — the problems found, the decisions made, and how the budget and program survived them.
Each project page documents a real build the way we experienced it: the challenge the project threw at us, the engineering and planning behind how we solved it, and the outcome the family ended up living with.
The portfolio below spans all three of our services — new homes, extensions and renovations — and includes the builds where things went sideways: sloping blocks that needed re-engineering, coastal conditions that dictated every fixing, load-bearing walls behind the wrong plaster, and termite damage nobody saw coming. Those projects taught us the most, and they are often the most useful ones for future clients to read.
New Homes — custom builds from empty block to handover. Our new home case studies cover value engineering glazing on a budget, split-level designs for sloping sites and climate-proofing for coastal conditions. View new home projects
Extensions & Additions — second storeys, rear additions and expanded living areas, including families who lived at home throughout the build. View extension projects
Renovations — kitchens, bathrooms and whole-home transformations, with the surprises documented honestly. View renovation projects

Every project page follows the same structure: the challenge the project presented, the solution we engineered and planned, and the outcome the family ended up with. The challenge section lists what could have gone wrong and did: soil reports that changed the engineering, weather that tested the program, discoveries inside the walls.
The solution section shows the actual decisions: what was redesigned, what was value-engineered, what was escalated to the client and how it was priced. And the outcome section reports what the family got — including whether the program and budget held, and what the clients said afterwards. The reference families behind each case study are available on request.
If you are early in your planning, the best way to use this portfolio is to find the project closest to yours — in size, type and site conditions — and follow its link for the full story. Then bring your own ideas to us: every build starts with a conversation about what is possible on your block.
Tell us what you are planning and we will show you what is possible — with honest advice and a clear, fixed-price proposal.
